Former EPA Official to be Honored at Clearwater Gala BEACON – Hudson River Sloop Clearwater will honor former U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Regional Administrator Judith Enck at the organization’s Third Annual Spirit of the Hudson gala on Sunday, Feb. 11, 2018.

Enck will be given Clearwater’s Spirit of the Hudson Award for her longtime service to the environment at the event, which will take place at The Garrison in Garrison, NY.

Watch Jon Bowermaster’s powerful trilogy of short documentaries on these time-sensitive issues affecting the Hudson, collectively known as “The Hudson: A River at Risk” at the Ossining Library on October 22. After the films, join our panelists — Riverkeeper President Paul Gallay; NY State Senator David Carlucci (D-Rockland, Ossining); Manna Jo Greene, Director of Environmental Action, Sloop Clearwater; and Dr. Sacha Spector, Director of Conservation Science, Scenic Hudson — as they discuss these and other threats to the health of the Hudson.

The event is free to the public.

After the film, Bowermaster will lead the panel and the audience in a discussion of these threats, and others, to the river.
